Vida had gotten an early start in the park to set things up for the Strawberry Social. It had been chilly and damp when she arrived, but a stern glare at the clouds had sent them fleeing, and the sun was shining over the park now, making for a bright and sunny day. With Easter and Mother's Day so close this year, Vida's player was in floral hell, but she was fully aware that the prom was this evening, so she had a lovely display of corsages and boutonnières available for sale.

There were no plans to order any love bunnies, tempting as it was.

The love monkeys had all vanished -- whether they'd been picked up by the delivery service or just monkeyed off to the mainland, Vida wasn't sure.

Today Vida was still hard at work making any last minute bouquets for Valentine's Day deliveries. They were, of course, fabulous.

Late Wednesday afternoon, Vida had gotten a delivery of the Love Monkeys she'd ordered, but instead of the cute little stuffed animals she was expecting, she found herself with a shipment of small very much alive monkeys that immediately launched themselves at her legs, clinging for dear life ( Read more... )

In the spirit of the holiday, Vida had channeled her player made herself a little bingo card with all the things that could possibly go wrong with her floral orders this year.

She suspected double-bingo would be easily achieved.

Vida had just processed a shipment of roses she found absolutely delightful, so much so they inspired a sale. "Half price for your purchase today if you're from the 60s or the 70s," a new sign in the window read.
